Tamrac proceeds to give photography fanciers more selections to store and carry their gear with the Tamrac Velocity series. These bags feature tops that gives quick access to camera gear by opening away from the carrier’s body. With the Velocity series, Tamrac offers style that is contemporary, and design that is innovative.
The Tamrac Velocity series is composed of series 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x and 10x – all sling packs that you may carry like a backpack. The outstanding thing in regards to Tamrac’s carrying cases is that the user does not need to remove them to access the gear inside because they are capable to swing the bag from the back of the body to the front. The slip strap is well-padded for ease and makes it easy for the bag to be moved around to the front of the body. The top is securely zippered but opens without apparent effort and the camera gear is adequately supported by dividers. The bags except for the Velocity 6x may be carried around even when biking or hiking because of the patented Tuck-A-Way waist belts.
Inside the Tamrac Velocity series are organizer pockets for mobile phone storage, or space for an MP3 player. Inside the lids are smooth nylon pockets for storing lens caps and filters. If you need more storage or carrying capability, these sling packs may be customized with the patented Modular Accessory System. Some of the compatible optional MAS accessaries for this series (5770 – 5765) are Flash Pockets, Lens Case, Water Bottle in Carrier and Filter Belt Pack
The Tamrac Velocity 10x, Model 5770 is available in black with external measurements of 14W x 10 ½ D x 15 ½ H and weighs 3 lbs. This instrumentation may be a bit heavy, so there are foam-padded reinforced dividers to help the weight.
With separately purchased accessory straps, a compact tripod may be carried by a Tamrac Velocity 10x with the support of two lash tabs on the bag’s base. The Tuck-A-Way waist belt which is another feature of this pack helps in carrying and stabilizing the bag when on the move.

Great for minimal gear By Mara This back pack is perfective for dslrs with minimal gear. i may carry my nikon d80 with 18-200mm lens on it plus room for my flash and one other lens. If i move things around I could carry another lens. I likewise have the accessory kit sqeezed in there and it is a bit snug. I have used the kit a few times and it does come in handy.
When carrying the back pack on my back and the front clip secured it fits very comfortably and off my back so hiking and other walking is very comfortable. there are straps that you may get for it to attach the tripod to it but i have not done this yet.
The upper compartment of the back pack is ok if you want to carry something such as a lunch or towel and there is a compartment that may hold my filters and such. It all works but is a bit awkward….I guess I’m still searching for the perfective bag but I have not found it yet…. I’m out growing this one…If you plan to add instrumentation you may want to think regarding getting something bigger….
This kit comes with a tripod but the tripod they supply is not suitable for dslrs. it may work if you never get past your kit lens if it is no more spectacular than 55mm but I had to buy another tripod that was competent to handle the weight and that has a ball head.
All in all this is a nice product and well made. I would commend this to an individual who had minimal gear…

Diminutive DSLR Domicile By J.Wainscott I threw the cleaning kit in the trash as soon as it arrived. The tripod I used in the field where I knew it would speedily be destroyed. It was included in the package so no great loss there. The bag, nevertheless was disappointing.
I read the reviews, and they all say you could fit a jacket or assorted goodies in the top compartment along with your DSLR in the bottom compartment. Wow. I could not strength a jacket into the top compartment and I tried! I am 6’3″ tall so perchance my jacket is more spectacular than most? Dunno, don’t care. My camera hardly fit either.
If you are a beginner, with the kit lens and no plans of upgrading, then this is the bag for you. It does not give off the pricey camera inside vibe and is genuinely not bad to wear around for a while. Like another reviewer mentioned, I am still on the hunt for the perfective bag. This one is not it.
All that aside, it was not a bad price and the build quality was excellent. It was just not what I needed.
