So you decisive to buy a new Canon digital camera and need help on resolving which one to choose. This article will try to break the available models into categories to support you pick the right one for your needs. Each model Canon designs is tailored to a specific segment of buyers, and the functionality each model comes with will fit the needs of that segment. It’s apparent that you are improbable to find modern features built in low end cameras, the price has to be held down.
Low-end Canon cameras
These cameras are highly affordable, they cost normally $200 or less, and are catered on the needs of novice and casual photographers. They are lightweight, equipped with a basic set of features and aren’t meant for anything more than occasional use. Lots of the functions on low end cameras are automated and come with few manual controls.
Models in this category include the Rebel and Kiss series and the three and four-digit series (EOS 450D, EOS 3500, etc).
Mid-range Canon cameras
These series focus on more experienced novice photographers’ needs, who do not make a living off their camera, yet want a lot of more control on the pictures they take. While they are not even close to professional cameras, mid-range gimmicks offer a reasonable number of manual controls, and numerous recent models in this range even come in metal bodies.
Among the models in this group, we ought to note the Elan and two digit series (D35, EOS 45)
Professional Canon models
These range of cameras are used by professional photographers, who earn their living shooting photos and require top-notch equipment. They are uncomfortable to carry, come with zillions of accessaries and a full blown range of manual and automated controls that a point and shoot buyer camera would never dream about. Professional cameras feature exceedingly fast shutter and automated focus, supplying users the prospect to take high quality shots.
Canon models in this group include most of the 1 series (1N, 1V, all 1D’s), while other EOS series cameras (EOS 3 and 5) are considered semi-professional.
As an ending note, you ought to keep in mind that you don’t have to take this classification as a state of the art truth: one may take great shots with a camera not labeled as “professional”. Some of these models are classified in a sure group due to syndication considerations – once in a while moving a sure model up or down in a category may boost sales

Fits a DSC-V3 perfectly + a heap of little items By Schul Vedelmeyer Some of the other reviews here have marked this bag down due to it is size, but it fits some Sony cameras very well. Best counsel is to check out the fit before you buy. For me, the DSC-V3 sits inside perfectly, without being too tight or too loose. There is no moving around when the case is closed.
There are three compartments to this bag, the bottom front, the top front and the main compartment. The bottom front may hold with regards to 4 AA batteries (either horizontally or vertically), while the top one is a little smaller, perhaps keeping memory sticks or flash cards but may likewise fit 4 AAs. The top one has a little mesh pocket on the inside to prevent the items from slipping out, while the bottom and main compartment have nice “side guards”, which come up with regards to 1″ on the bottom and 2.5″ on the main compartment. These side guards are nice in case your zippers aren’t wholly closed, to prevent littler items from slipping out.
The included shoulder strap is gorgeous worthless, but at least it includes a little strip of padded rubber on the nylon strap. I’d commend replacing it with the one that came with your camera (if it came with one and you’re not using it).
Padding is decent. Best on front and bottom, ok on back and weak at the side zippers, altho there a little bit of padding on the side. The back “belt” clip is a snap button which holds finelooking well underneath stress (so far).
Downsides is the quality and noise of the zippers, and not too much of an inner zipper guard for the main compartment so the camera coming out may rub versus the plastic teeth.
Overall I am very pleased with this case, in particular equated to the other selections out there. Ignore the reviews where the guy wants to put his charger, his connectors, flash, tripods, shooting lamps, assistants and their wives all into this little bag. It’s a COMPACT bag that is meant to hold just your camera and a few little items. If you have a V series Sony camera, exceptionally the V3, I highly commend it.

A Great Camera Bag By W. Roberts After dropping my Sony Cybershot and cracking the LCD screen, I was in search of a better camera bag, and this is it. It is altogether black, with only the Sony and Cybershot logo in white letters. I use the shoulder strap, but it also has a belt clip. Note that this belt clip has a snap so you don’t have to take your belt off each time you move the bag! It has just sufficient pockets and no more. Just places for spare memory cards and batteries and perhaps a set of car keys. Not actually sufficient room for a cell phone, unless you put it in with the camera in the main compartment. Here’s the best part: The main camera compartment zipper has two pulls, so you may have them meet at the top, and leave the wrist strap of the camera hanging out, so you may get your wrist in the strap before you even open the bag to prevent accidental dropping. Believe me, the best prospect to drop a camera is when you are removing it from the case!

NOT for the SONY W1 Digital Camera By John This case is too Big for the W1 camera. The camera keeps on moving inside the case. I dunno why it is advertized for the W1 model!!!! I think if you have TWO (or perchance 3) W1 cameras, this case will be a good choice I guess this case was intended for ealier and larger sony cameras. I gave this case 2/5 because it is actually a nice case (for other sony models), it may fit all ur extra batteries & memory sticks and it is made of good materials.
